Winter is over, time to get some sun!!

 

Outdoor skating is a great way to get some exercise in between games and practices. There are so many outdoor wheels to choose from. Here are some of the ones that we at RollerGirlSkates carry:

 

Radar Zens:

Come in a variety of different colors. They are 85A hardness which is a little harder than most outdoor wheels. They are 62mm high by 32 mm wide.

Radar Energys:

These are high quality wheels made by Radar. Available in 3 different heights: 57 mm, 62 mm, or 65 mm with a width of 32mm. They come in a variety of colors as well. The urethane has lots of rebound, so the wheels are responsive and roll exceptionally fast. They have a durometer of 78A so they can glide smoothly over debris and cracks outside. These are my favorite outdoor wheels.

Sure Grip Aerobic:

These wheels  are  a classic choice for outdoor skating. They come in lots of different colors and are very light. They are 62mm high and 38mm wide. You can also purchase these with bearings and an elephant wrench. We call it our “Outdoor Wheel Deal.”

Krypto Routes:

These wheels come in a variety of colors and also a variety of heights to fit your needs. They are a 78A hardness, which will give more shock absorption for rolling over big cracks. You can get them in 62mm X 35mm, 65 mm X 37 mm, or MONDO: 70 mm X 38.

Atom Pulse:

These wheels are all nylon and have a 78A durometer which makes them great for any outdoor surface. Whether on the boardwalk, the sidewalk or outdoor hockey rink, these are great for outdoor skating. They are 65 mm high by 37 mm wide.

Atom Roadhogs:

 

These bright yellow wheels are a true outdoor speed wheel. Think monster trucks  on these. They have a 78A durometer and are 66mm in height and 38 mm in width. These wheels will give a great performance for off the track skating.

A slightly higher quality outdoor wheel made by Radar, they are perfect for the serious outdoor skater. They have a 78A durometer.  They come in many colors and are 66 mm in height and 38 mm in width.  You can also purchase the Radar Pure Wheel Deal, which comes with a Powerdyne skate tool for quick transition from indoor to outdoor wheels.

Radar Fuels:

There is something a bit different about these outdoor wheels.  They have an aluminum hub in them for less flex. They deliver top of the line performance. They have a 78A durometer and come in 66mm height and 36mm width.

I would recommend getting a separate pair of bearings to use only in your outdoor wheels.  Bones Reds bearings would be a great choice for this.  That way it takes less time to change out your wheels and and you will avoid getting your indoor bearings too dirty from picking up the outdoor debris.
